Managing Director
The Managing Director of 1 Talent Solutions is Andrew Proffer, Ph.D.. After a first career as a Clinical Psychologist, I transitioned into business consulting, including organizational development and recruiting. For the past 10 years, I’ve been a professional recruiter working with diverse companies across the United States.
Although I no longer work as a practicing Psychologist, recruiting provides opportunities to use the skills honed in my first career such as listening carefully, asking clarifying questions, managing expectations, and identifying blind-spots. In addition, successful recruiting requires curiosity, learning the details of diverse occupations, and conducting qualitative and empirical research. At the end of the day, the process is interesting and rewarding, and often results in creating win/win matches between professionals and companies.
